Before I arrive

Three things and we're ready to sign.

Missouri requires every signer to be present, properly identified, and willing. Bring these and the appointment is usually done in minutes.

  • 01

    Valid, unexpired photo ID

Driver's license, state ID, passport, or U.S. military ID. The name must match the document being signed.

  • 02

    Every signer present

All named parties need to be there in person — I can't notarize a signature that hasn't happened yet.

  • 03

    The document, left unsigned

Don't sign ahead of time. The signature has to be witnessed and sworn in front of me to be valid.

Unsure whether your document needs a notary, a witness, or both? Call or text before the appointment and I'll tell you exactly what to bring — no charge for the answer.

Signing errors caught before they cost you

About Haven Notary Services

Personal service, not a counter number.

I'm an independent, commissioned Missouri notary public and certified loan signing agent based in St. Louis. Haven Notary Services exists because getting a document notarized shouldn't mean taking an afternoon off work, driving across the county, and hoping the branch associate is available.

So I built it the other way around. You tell me when and where, and I show up — with the seal, the journal, and the patience to walk through each form carefully. Whether it's a refinance closing with 120 pages or a single permission slip for a school trip, it gets handled properly.

Common questions

Answers before you ask.

Still unsure about something specific to your document? Call or text — I'd rather answer it now than have you drive out here for nothing.

(314) 274-1257
Do you really come to me?

Yes — that's the whole point. I'm a mobile notary, so I travel to homes, offices, hospitals, hospices, senior communities, and even jails across the St. Louis metro. Standard coverage areas carry no extra travel fee.

How much does a notarization cost?

Missouri caps the notarial act itself, and I add a travel fee that depends on distance and timing. You'll get a flat quote before anything is scheduled, so there's never a surprise at the table. Loan signings are quoted per package based on page count and location.

Can you notarize for someone who is hospitalized or bedridden?

Absolutely, and it's one of the most common reasons people call. As long as the signer is awake, aware of what they're signing, and able to indicate willingness, the appointment can happen at bedside. Hospital staff don't need to be involved.

What if I need a witness too?

Some documents — wills, certain powers of attorney — require witnesses in addition to a notary. Tell me when you book and I'll make sure the right number of people are in the room, since witnesses cannot be the notary in Missouri.

How soon can you get here?

Same-day appointments are often possible in St. Louis City and County, and I keep evening and weekend slots open for people who can't take time off. For closings with a hard funding date, reach out as early as you can so the slot is held.

Do you handle loan signings for title companies and lenders?

Yes. I'm NNA-certified, carry $100k in errors and omissions coverage, and return scanned packages quickly so your funding date stays intact. Commission number, E&O certificate, and W-9 are available on request.
